New job funtimes and Fate/Zero

Started watching Fate/Zero after being recommended by just about everyone today. It's really good so far! Perhaps predictably, the only slash I want to write is between Berserker and Kariya. (I guessed Berserker's identity while catching up to what Danny had watched, after he went to bed, and Dustin confirmed. And I approve!) I don't know if that's really predictable of me or not. Just-- creepy worms! Tragic backstories! Promises broken! I like it. I do think most people would probably go for any other pairing in the land of slash, first. Oh! Well, I guess I also would want to write Iris/Saber, but that's just canon as far as I'm concerned. Rowr!

Also, Alexander is the most hilarious of all things. Also gorgeously buff. Every time he geeks out about world conquest and flexes, I want to jump up and pose with him.

Loving my new job so far. There are moments where I worry a little that at some point, I might run into something really difficult or emotionally tough, given the nature of the job. Overall I'm just excited.

Today was a pretty awesome birthday. Even though I was working, all of my family called throughout the day, which really made me happy. Got texts from old coworkers, even! And from Anne. And had a nice dinner with Danny and Dustin!
