Rangers United: Round Three and other stuffs

Worth noting: Nostalgia o' clock hit me last weekend, so I've been rereading old logs from mush-RP. And going 'aww! Everybody was so cool back then!' Maybe rolling a little in narcissism when I get to the good parts. (Usually it's more like I'm cringing and going 'NO! NOT ANOTHER ELLIPSIS! N-not-- *gasp* ANIME SMILEYS IN MY PROSE!' and then shaking my head at my own nonsense.)

Danny got FFXIII-2 on Anne's recommendation. And it's exactly as she said! FFXIII, but actually fun to play. Also, I fucking love Noel. And I guess I like Serah too. I can't help going "aw, Serah, why aren't you Lightning?" but Serah is REALLY super cute. And Hobo Snow! Ahem, anyway.

I have been crazybusy with work. New job is pretty danged awesome, and aside from the occasional emotional stress of "oh my gosh am I not good enough?" I'm having a nice time of it. I actually feel like I'm helping people out, which my last couple jobs sorely lacked. I hate feeling like I'm taking advantage of people as a part of my business, and I don't think I'm really totally okay with having no interaction with people at all in a job. So, the emotional stress isn't really so bad, because it also means I actually care about my job for the first time in years. And that is really fuckin' cool!

As a result I've been hard pressed to find time to do my contest entry for Round Three over at Rangers United. The challenge this time is to create three alternate versions of your character, and have your character fight them (while falling through the sky into an infinite city of stars and nothingness [which, for the record, I think is kind of stupid in actual concept, even if it could possibly look cool, provided the person drawing it sucked less than me at drawing]). Tentatively my designs are thus:

Alice Prime - The real Alice. In her timeline, there was a huge war fought between the Rangers and the Fallen Stars, who are basically just Rangers who are selfish and didn't give a shit about other people. When they won the war, most of the Rangers disbanded. She and many others migrated to Mars ten years later. A year into the colonization, a plague began to spread. Alice helped organize the evacuation of the colony she was a part of, saving her friend Elizabeth's life but dooming herself. She died alone on Mars from the very disease that she'd sought to save the others from, unwittingly mirrored by 99% of the populace of Earth. (Alice Prime is actually from a divergent timeline, herself. SHHHH!)

Bullet Train Ranger - Alice from a universe where she did not move to Mars after the war. There, she was present for a war that rose after the dust had cleared, and was 'given' a robotic arm to replace a lost one by the Blue Matrix Ranger. Unfortunately, the robotic appendage is slowly converting Alice into an android herself.

Mercy Ranger - Alice from a universe where her wish was that no one could forget her, rather than that she would be remembered. As a result, she has been forced to kill almost everyone who came near to her. They can't forget her; they die before they get the chance. (Also nicknamed the Bad Luck Babe).

Fallen Alice - Alice who was consumed by one of the Fallen Stars instead of simply captured as per her real backstory. It's a logical alternate self to use but also feels cheesy so I'm not sure if I should come up with a different one. Chinstroke.

Also, I didn't realize Zack was in KH:Birth By Sleep. I want it now. >:|

Edit: Also also, Noel totally just needs to be sent to the Land of Ooo. I think he and Finn would instantly bond over their last human on Earthness. Also, there's a lot more friends to be had in the Land of Ooo than anywhere in FFXIII world!
