Heroes in the Sky!
Thursday, August 23rd, 2012 04:25 pmSo, I finished The Adventures of the Galaxy Rangers. Some amazing episodes made it in before the end; and while I enjoyed Gift of Life / Sundancer, I was kind of disappointed to see some of the final episodes waste time not developing the actual characters (it was like a Lupin III special, haha!) and instead focus on a newly introduced kid. The kid was awesome, though, which is more than I can say for Buzzwang. But! the final episode at least gave me a Walter-on-his-own plot, which was excellent.
There are a couple of major threads left loose:
-Goose never actually hunted down any of his fellow SuperTroopers per his orders. This is minor, because it could be argued that he was doing so off-screen, and while it could have been important for his personal plot, it wasn't really important in a grand sense since the other SuperTroopers never really posed much of a threat.
-Eliza neither died, nor was rescued, leaving Zachary Foxx's increasingly suspect lack of concern over his missing wife to get weirder and weirder. Shouldn't he be frothing at the mouth? What changed from Psychocrypt to here?
-The Queen was neither defeated, nor victorious.
Now, I think all of these could have been resolved in like, one big fantastic season finale, but of course it'll never happen. Sad, really. Ah well, the point is, I'll be thinking about it a while, maybe trying my hand at it.
Anyway, aside from that I suppose there's not much to talk about. The couch is definitely broken, and when I turn on my computer for the last couple of days, it's been making wonky rattling buzzing fan-or-worse-is-broken noises when I first turn it on, until about twenty minutes pass or so. So, you know, of course there will be no money for anything in the meantime. The broken couch is annoying, but not entirely without the capability of functioning, so at least there's that. I'm worried about my computer, though. I mean, I could live if it breaks, but I'd still rather it doesn't.
