This weekend is already going to be stressful
But unfortunately, there's more!
Apparently ISPs are taking action to police the internet WITHOUT having to get a bill past the government about censoring everything online.
You know, because heaven forbid the rich stop getting richer.
The usual petition is here: Backdoor SOPA protest
I think this is pretty much bullshit all around, but what do I know? I'm not a millionaire sniffling crocodile tears about how I lost a made-up projection of forty billion dollars thanks to the mean ol' proletariat. Leaving society to go live in a cabin sounds better all the time.

People keep talking about VPN clients as a get-around, but honestly that's circumventing the immediate problem and not something that will really make the situation better for anyone. 8\

I think the thing that offends me most about that article is the tone of "shame on you, lower class, for objecting to a poorly constructed decision that was orchestrated by us higher class folk".
Man, yeah. The reason I have a problem with it is that things are not made AVAILABLE, so then people turn to piracy. It's not the fault of the consumers that the companies are jealously guarding their products and only releasing them piecemeal. You can't SELL something if you don't even try!
