Rape culture is pervasive insistence that false reports are common, although they are less common (1.6%) than false reports of auto theft (2.6%). Rape culture is pervasive claims that women make rape accusations willy-nilly, when 61% of rapes remain unreported.
I can't tell you how many times the people who are supposedly my friends have countered my concerns about rape with the insinuation that a woman who reports a rape was probably lying about it.
Also pretty relevant to my personal experiences:
'Rape culture is a ruling that says women cannot withdraw consent once sex commences.'
It's tough to put your foot down about this without having already been raped. I can't even imagine trying to do so if you have.
