Just had to kill what was probably a recently-shed German roach on the wall behind the computer just now. I say "probably" because it wasn't the right color brown, yet appeared to be stripey, yet moved like a roach (not a cricket) when I went to squish it with my shoe and took about three tries to actually kill.
