No guts no glo~ry!
Oof! It's been so insanely hot that our AC can't handle it the past few days. Ugh.
I continue to fangirl wildly over Shane Gooseman. I actually like all the main characters, even if Zack Fox is hilariously old school hero. We just watched Psychocrypt, which was excellent and for some reason featured Gooseman in a black palette swap of his usual outfit, plus cowboy hat. Which was pretty damn cool!
The sound quality on some episodes is pretty bad, with vocal tracks wildly overpowered by sound effects and what's supposed to be background music, but it's still been pretty fun. There are the occasional groan worthy episodes, but mostly those feature the belatedly added kid-self-insert character Buzzwang, whose name is the best thing about him. He's tolerable in very, very small doses.
Overall, between Walter's cuteness, Niko's badassery, Cap'n Fox's grandstanding and Gooseman being just generally awesome (and way spirit bonded to his robot horse. I mean there was a whole episode pretty much entirely about how a millions-of-years-old monster being stole his robot horse and both him and the horse being all "NOBODY BUT SHANE GOOSEMAN SHALL RIDE TRITON", it was pretty hilarious), it's a super fun show. I still love the varied alien designs. They really go all over the place! And since it's a pulp-sci-fi Flash Gordon type set-up, the Human Spirit is everybody's actual superpower. Pretty dang cool!
