this space later to be filled with better Pathfinder summary
The new computer, assembled and running, seems to be about a hundred times better than the old, and can run things quickly, which is a delight. Made dinner for my folks Saturday, and we played D&D today. It was excellent.
Highlights:
-So we came to Lisbourne
-Where we were invited to the Iron Manticore Inn
-Which proved to be inordinately expensive, and was run by a french chef who called himself Sucro
-Who 'revealed' that he was actually Orcus
-Who then revealed that he was ACTUALLY actually an old wizard who had used divination to learn what Prince Skeeve looked like to keep an eye out for him and stop him from taking the elemental bowl of water
-Which we basically lied and said we didn't want, since he wouldn't confirm that that was what he was afraid we were going to take
-So he released us from his pocket-dimension and we were outside the real inn, which was called the Green Dragon
-In which Li and Adelaide slept, while Skeeve and Rukh ended up sleeping in the cart and eating some of the supplies they'd been provided with, perhaps a little mulishly.
-The next morning Skeeve decided he wanted a bath-- not in the inn, but since Lisbourne is on the crossroads of two rivers, in a river. Rukh agreed to accompany him, and Li pointed out that they should all go to cut down on backtracking
-So Adelaide made a peepshow out of it while they were bathing
-Anyway, so they entered the temple of the Sailor
-where everyone appeared to be incapacitated due to imbibing some kind of substance that had moderate psychotropic effects
-We split up to look around for the elemental bowl of water, and Li and Rukh followed one of the worshipful to a cell where he said he would prepare them some of the ritual wine or whatever
-Li watched him sneak off to pour water out of the elemental bowl into a small cup, then pretended not to have watched; when he returned, Li refused the cup
-But Rukh, not knowing the danger, accepted it and drank. Whoops! And suddenly Rukh wasn't too bright.
-The others met back up with Li and Rukh, discovered that Li had located the bowl of elemental water, and went about tricking the worshipful into letting them abscond with it-- Li and Skeeve even worked together!
-"Drunk" Rukh proceeded to, failing to communicate with Li, wander out of the temple and slip off of the top of the stairs back down to the ground. He was saved from breaking his neck by his muscle memory, but still hurt his ankle badly, landing.
-The others also left the temple, and we were waylaid by the wizard from before, who (rightly) called us liars and shot us with a mysterious blue ray of light that apparently teleported us into a labyrinth somewhere else
-And we proceeded to wander about in it!
Along the way:
Li: You shouldn't have drunk that!
Rukh: Oh. Yeah. I--?
Skeeve: So that's the bowl, then?
Li: Yep.
Rukh: I am really thirsty, now that you mention it--
Li & Skeeve in unison: NO! *holds the bowl away*
And-
Li: Ugh, I hate to say it but he is even more annoying than usual like this! I am missing the dour and grumpy Rukh! Now he is just stupid and frustrating!
Rukh: *sits down* You don't like me.
Skeeve: *annoyed sigh* That's not true, get up.
Rukh: But he said-- You said you don't like me.
Li: Of course I-- like you, just-- I like grumpy Rukh better! When you are normal!
Rukh: But you still don't like me *sadface*
Skeeve: *sternly* We like you just fine. Come on, get up.
Rukh: *staggering back up* Really?
Skeeve: Yes.
Rukh: Man, I love you too!
Adelaide: *furious writing*
I am tired, I sleep now.
