For both of the movies we recently watched, we were treated to a torturous stream of the pre-pre-pre-movie crap they show nowadays. Unfortunately, this includes the awful "radio" stream, where they play the same set of whiny songs that-- okay, I have to admit, I think modern pop is either techno or emo so I guess it's probably not even that surprising. But so in the midst of this! There's a song by some girl that she named Don't Stop Believin', and it's not a cover of the Journey song, and it drives me crazy because it feels like the music industry is doing the same thing as Hollywood, where they remake the old things with their new technology and try to supplant it by naming it the same thing. That just so totally squicks me out in all the ways! But logically I know there really are only so many titles, and for all I know, the song might be one of the few and vastly far between that ISN'T about some creepily abusive relationship.
But yes, that was on my mind.
D&D last night was pretty awesome; Dyrr battled a cat-person for right to ride their sabre-tooth mounts, and then had to eat its heart; with the cat-people befriended (yeah, I know), we went north to try to find some cave people who we for some reason thought had amazing treasure. We split up due to travel speed differences, which nearly got Derek, Dustin and I killed by cave bears, but made it through okay. Seriously though, cave bears. That is scary stuff!
Caught up on Korra. I'm still kinda unsure where they're going with it, but my feelings towards the latest episode are largely balanced out by finding Bolin's method of crying adorably hilarious and awful. I think if they'd played that straight I wouldn't have felt as bad for him as I do, odd as that is!
